Really awesome game! Huge fan of the mix of fun/cute with the horror contrast and the story is verry inreresring too! Made a letsplay of my experience with a bit more indebth talking about what i thibk aswell in case anyone is interested! ^^ definitively interested in more!
I gotta be honest, I haven't played it, but I've watched the YouTube streams and I thought it was a fantastic concept. I'd love to see more of this, and I'll definitely play it myself when a full release comes out.

I adored this game! The art style was gorgeous, including the pixel stuff, and the atmosphere was fantastic. I was on the edge of my seat more than once. I have a soft spot for RPG Maker-style horror games, but this one is one of the better ones I've played even though it's on the short side. I'd love to see a longer game with more scares that plays more on the choices mechanic brought up at the start, and that delves more into the story of Kat, her father, and her interest in the occult. Amazing job all around!
I found this game in the bundle and wasn't expecting much but I'm really impressed, this is very well made and polished and I'm giving my feedback hoping that you'll continue the project, keep it up and good work.

The first game I played out of the Racial Justice Bundle and I'm hooked! Games like these, that don't rely on Jumpscares for cheap thrills are the reason I love this Indie-RPG Horror Scene so much! Cute Art-Style, beautiful music and great atmosphere! I love Kats attitude too and want to learn more about her! I can't wait for more!

I think I get what it was going for with the whole subversion of expectations thing in the start but the game could've been more subtle about it. I'm excited to see more of this.

Kat's expressions were so realistic, and her inner monologue and the soundtrack ..., I could almost fell I was in her place. To resume it all, Kat is waifu.

I've tired downloading the game several times, but I'm not sure how to actually launch it and the download doesn't show up in my files. (I have a Windows computer)

You will download a ZIP file, which you should right-click and extract to a location of your choice. After that, you just need to double-click "Project Kat.exe". Please note that you need Windows 7 or newer to run the game ^^

Project Kat: The Ritual Test I made this video around 3 months ago so basically when it first came out and I finally decided to finish editing this video. I thought it was a really good game. But now I don't know if anything has change over the pass 3 months. But yeah hopefully you enjoy this video. and I'll be playing when its fully done.
Play the game yourself before watching my video cause the art design, the music and overall story was awesome no cheap jump scares or anything like that. It was a really fun game and i'm looking forward to any other things they make in the future.
Very interestingly put together. The visuals are up and above most of what I've seen from these rpg maker-ish horror games and I see the foundation in place for what could become an incredible experience. I hope you continue to work on whatever it is you're making! I'll be waiting.

I'm not someone who can handle horror games, but have been challenging myself to face my fears by playing some horror games.. I thought this would be a good game to ease into, and was very drawn to the cute art-style.
I appreciate that there wasn't any cheap jump-scares, but rather, the uneasiness came from the atmosphere - music, subtle noises & changes in environment. It was a good buildup that kept me on edge the whole time!!!
I understand that this is a prologue & thus the limitations of just one ending to set up for the full game, but it would have been cool to have been able to achieve different endings... Also an option to skip seen dialogue, would make subsequent playthroughs more enjoyable I think.
I really enjoyed this game tho! Music, art, story, characters are all well done!

Reminds me of corpse party... I thought there would be more jumpscares, though I'm relieved, I kinda would have liked some extra spooks.
