We're here with a new patch for The Dark Forest Enhanced Edition!

What's new:

Features

• At launch, you can check for updates and get a link to the latest version of the game for both GitHub and itch.io.
• Skipping a checkpoint allows you to see a summary of the checkpoint you skip, so you don't feel as lost when moving on.
• You can now replay the exclusive boss fights from New Game+ after completing it.

  Changes

• Skipping a checkpoint provides a warning about achievements.
• Implemented the horizontal UI design for boss replay and chapter select menus

  Bugfixes and Performance Improvements

• Fixed a bug where the savegame list would become misaligned if left-listed saves were NG+
• Properly renamed all the Windows Intel/AMD versions as x64
• Assorted minor bugfixes.
• Assorted minor performance improvements.

  Supported Platforms

• Windows - x86_64
• Windows - ARM64
• As we have stated before, no Linux or MacOS platforms will be officially supported from now until EOL in October.

  Patch 3 Plans

• We want to take our update system one step further by introducing an automatic updater that runs before any other component of the game.
• We're also working on completing the UI overhaul by giving the settings UI a nice refresh.
