In the wake of LEVIATHAN v0.4, I'm taking a short break to work on my other backburner projects.
VOLTIGEUR is one I've had in the works for a long time, and a big departure from my normal M.O. - I really wanted to write a game inspired by the novel Hard to be a God or Star Trek's concept of the Prime Directive. The tension in these stories emerges from ethical dilemmas around self-determination and the paradox of forcing utopia onto a society that may not be ready for it.
This version is essentially a proof of concept, playable as a low-prep episodic game. When (or if) I continue with VOLTIGEUR, I intend to introduce a more complex web of threats and opportunities that the PCs must navigate to reconnect the Lost Colonies.
