Devlog 6 - Update 0.1 d released

Tiny Terra Spaces
A browser game made in HTML5

Hey everyone!

A big update has just landed Tiny Terra Spaces 0.1d is now live! The demo has been updated to this new version, and I've also refreshed the WebGL build.

At the moment, the project is still behind a small paywall for future updates. However, please note that there are no downloadable files provided yet that are different than the free ones. So feel free to keep playing the demo, leave feedback, and wait for the next update if you're considering buying it. That said, if you’d like to support me and the development of the game, you’re very welcome to purchase it — and you’ll get all future updates as well I truly appreciate your patience.

I felt this update was important to better reflect what the game currently offers and where it’s headed.

What’s New in 0.1d:

  • New Celtic music — fitting perfectly with the Scottish theme of the game.

  • New Scottish-themed buildings:

    • Croft house

    • Manor House (for the Clan Lord)

    • Stable, barn, and more
(All made by me, so it took a bit of time!)

  • New building tooltip system — now includes detailed explanations of costs and rewards. This means I’ve removed the tables from the game’s description.

  • Updated gold model — might still change, but it’s improved for now.

  • Asset resizing and reshaping — everything now fits better within the terrain grid.

  • Camera size and rotation - I have edited the position of the camera for hopefully a better feel of the game.

  • Bug fixes:

    • You no longer need to constantly click UI buttons to place buildings.

    • Fixed a bug where cutting already-cut grass would still charge the player money.

  • Visual polish:

    • Improved the starting  area around the market stand, making it look more standing out

    • Planning to give each structure (like houses) unique decorations — fences, gardens, etc.

    • You no longer get different cursors for different buildings I felt like that was pointless. So its only one main cursor.

Known Issue:

Unfortunately, the water shader does not display correctly in the WebGL version  it appears white instead of blue. It does work and looks great in the Windows build (0.1d), so I do apologies.

What’s Next?

Over the next few weeks, I plan to:

  • Improve overall gameplay

  • Polish existing assets and rework them such as benches and other decorations.

  • Add new assets for both buildings as well as decorations.

  • Rework UI to facilitate more buildings. Perhaps using different sections like housing, civic buildings, industry.

Thanks again for all your support and feedback it means a lot. I’ll see you in the next devlog!

Silviu
