It’s time for another Qwhack update! Vertical Slice 0.4.0 is here!
Not the last vertical slice version after all. This time I focused a lot on balancing. Items were tweaked and the cleric duck was added. For these reasons I thought I would need some playtesting to validate if it makes sense.
To prevent an eternal Vertical Slice, I already moved some tasks to the alpha milestone and suspect that some things will be cut. It's getting to the point where a lot of ideas flow in, but discipline is necessary. It is my priority for Qwhack to be a small solid game, instead of a huge project that will come out much later, or not be released at all. It is time to have more people playing!
Here’s what’s new in this version:
For the next Vertical Slice version: Combos are still kind of irrelevant, except if you want to use them for bragging rights. I intend to make them more relevant in the next version, likely by integrating them with items.
