Hey everyone!
I'm excited to share a meaningful update today that takes us one big step closer to making our game more accessible to everyone. 🎮🧭✨
You can now play the game using a controller! And yes — rumble feedback is fully supported. This isn’t just about comfort — it’s part of our mission to make the game more inclusive. Vibration cues will help signal key events or nearby points of interest, opening up new ways for players to engage with the world.
We've added directional audio cues to help players detect where objects of interest are located in relation to their character. If you're looking for something to collect, you'll now hear it — not just see it.
This feature is especially helpful for players with visual impairments, but we believe it will enrich the experience for all players. It's a step toward a game world that you can feel and hear, not just see.
This might seem like a small update on the surface — but under the hood, this unlocks the ability to apply these systems consistently throughout the entire game. We can now expand this mechanism to guide players to NPCs, hazards, doors, and other interactive elements — all using audio and haptics.
There’s still work to do: consistent, clear audio design remains essential. But this update gives us the solid foundation we need to build a more intuitive and inclusive experience for everyone.
Thanks as always for your support — and a special shoutout to everyone in the accessibility community who continues to inspire us to do better. 💚
— Max
