Turscar Isle: Initial Prototype

Turscar Isle
A downloadable game for Windows and Linux

So, initial prototype for my next game.

This is a partial remake of a ten-year-old Unity game of mine, Spamocalypse: Aftermath. Like that, it’s a first-person stealth game in the vein of Thief/Thief 2, and you’re robbing a cult of spammers.

Yes. A cult of spammers. Totally not because I randomly thought years ago that turscar, the Irish Gaelic for spam, sounded like a great name for a god of deceit!

This is based around my own line-of-sight system for Godot, where lighting plays a major role in whether or not enemies can see the player. The core gameplay loop will boil down to lurking in the shadows, avoiding combat and stealing everything that isn’t nailed down. The current prototype allows you to lean around corners, read notes, pick up loot, and shank the spambots in the back.

I think it works, but I’m the eejit who made this. So, give it a try and let me know what you think!
