Version 1.9 is now available!
UI Updates:
The new character creation and selection screens are now the default character screens. This can be changed by toggling it off under the resource tab.
The character creation screen now allows you to create new characters.
Opening up the character selection creation screen without a character available will now open up the character creation screen instead of creating an error.
The new character screen toggle is now saved on to the save file.
Added a black outline to the character information text in the new character selection screen.
Gameplay Updates:
The Rogue class is now available.
Druids now receive a 50% damage reduction when in werewolf form.
Hunters, Paladins, and Shamans now properly receive damage reduction from their respective spells.
Difficulty settings are now available:
Players are now able to die, when they do so they will not be accessible until they are fully healed.
When players are dead they will slowly regain health over approximately 40 seconds. However, they will not gain mana over that time. As a result, combat should be briefly avoided after dying.
API/Asset Changes:
Added API functionality for damage reduction spells.
The Godot file used to create this game is now accessible as a .zip file.
The save file is now formatted differently to make saving and loading easier and more predictable. This will make adding new variables to the save file much easier in the future.
Reduced the viewport size so that pixels can be aligned predictably. The new resolution for the game is 640 x 360.
Bug Fixes:
[UI] Fixed a bug where the trash can button that is designed to delete information on the save file was invisible on mobile devices.
[UI] Fixed a bug where the web export does not contain the new loading screen image.
[Gameplay] Fixed a bug where saved characters would sometimes swap properties when closing the game in combat or other unexpected situations. Note: This would only happen when using the new character creation and selection screens.
[Gameplay] Fixed a bug where the new character selection screen failed to open when there were no characters to be loaded.
[UI] Fixed bug on the new character creation screen where changing the class would not change the clothing on the character.
[Input] Fixed a bug where the new character selection screen toggle was not persistent between saves.
[Gameplay] Fixed a bug where players did not die when below 0 health.
[UI] Fixed a bug where the web export was not loading at a lower resolution than the native resolution.
Known Bugs:
[Input] The exit button for the map does not appear on mobile devices making it impossible to escape the map screen without reloading the game.
[UI] The text is stretched during the transition to the battle scene.
