Wendy is our shy, book‑devouring wendigo, so I wanted her romance path to revolve around—what else—reading.
Daily Library Visits
Before Wendy will chat, the player must show real interest in books.
You’ll need to arrive at the library at least three in‑game hours before the library closes if you plan to read, so Wendy notices your dedication.
Reading Sessions
Each reading session “costs” 3 in‑game hours, even if you speed‑read IRL. Time management FTW.
This adds a strategic layer: do you dungeon crawl, flirt with Bec, or burn daylight in the stacks?
What’s in the Books?
I’m torn between stuffing these tomes with lore & monster encyclopedias (world‑building!) or sprinkling in miscellaneous weirdness—recipes, jokes, cursed poems.
Tell me which you’d prefer in the comments!
Yes, it happens inside the library (quiet, please!). Unlocking it will require hitting her affinity threshold and putting in the reading time. I’m sketching the scene now, simple shading first—polish later. Expect book stacks, shy glances, and, well… page‑turning.
While I’m refactoring romance gates, Bec Santus will soon require you to complete (or deliberately skip) her work mini‑game before she opens up further. Think of it as bonding on the job.
Books: Lore dumps or fun random content?
Pacing: Does a three‑hour time cost feel fair?
Mini‑game gating: Love it? Hate it?
Drop your thoughts below—bug reports, hype, spicy memes, all welcome.
Thanks for following the project and helping me shape this weird, horny adventure. More soon!
