Hello everyone!
We're super excited to share with you our first public version of Blue Flame the Dark Souls inspired top-down action game!
I believe it's important to tell everyone what is the goal of this release. This release contains the first level of the game, the Last Battlefield where the player awoke after thousands of years just to find the whole kingdom in ruins.
With this release we would like to invite you to help us balance and fine-tune the level. Your goal is simple: Get to the end of the level and defeat the Spectral Boar boss. If you've found anything that can be improved gameplay-wise while playing the game please let us know, so that we can incorporate it into the game.
The Release also marks the official beginning of the Blue Flame Vertical Slice development, where the goal is to create a vertical slice of the game with two levels, that can be sent out to publishers and we can launch a crowdfunding campaign.
It's also fair to ask, what's gonna come next in the development cycle, well for the next release we're planning to implement the following:
While our roadmap is available on the game's site, I'd like to add it here, just to show where we're standing and where we're heading towards.
Keep in mind that this release cycle will run from September to the end of October and in this time we'll do our best to polish the first two levels of the game as much as possible, so for a while much more content won't be added to the game, but rather expanded, also what the roadmap doesn't show is the underground cave levels that we'll create an interconnected system of caves that you can use to navigate though the underworld and meet interesting NPCs and enemies.
