Hello everyone,
This isn’t a post I ever wanted to write, but I want to be fully transparent with you.
As of today, development on Leviathan Wake is officially discontinued.
A major hardware failure hit my development setup, and nearly everything related to the project — models, audio, animations, and even backups — was corrupted or lost. I’ve spent a lot of time trying to recover what I could, but the damage was too deep to continue without rebuilding from the ground up.
This project meant a lot to me. It was atmospheric, personal, and a huge learning experience. I appreciate every bit of feedback, interest, and support it received — even in its early form.
Maybe. If I return to it, I’d want to do it right — possibly in a new engine or with a fresh take. But for now, I’m stepping away from it to work on another game which I have already started but its going to be a goofy one just because It can be.
Thanks again to everyone who followed the development, played the builds, or reached out with kind words.
Your support meant more than you know.
Yours Sincerely,
VelociStudios
