In a lot of Japanese school stories, “clubs” are just a setting. In Stretch, the club is the whole story. We wanted to really dig into the awkward, often directionless energy that comes from small student groups trying to justify their existence.
Why does this club exist? What is its purpose? The characters keep asking each other… and themselves. No one has a satisfying answer. But that doesn’t stop them from throwing everything they have into it.
