0.1.5 Patch notes
Posted June 27, 2025 by BCBCC
Releasing this today, will hotfix any issues asap. This is more breadth than depth - more skills and more interactions are available, but no additional story progression or cutscenes (although if you pay attention you can start to learn a bit more about the world).
My next work on this game may be a lot of behind-the-scenes updates. I started this project as a little idea and now that I've been trying to develop it in a fuller scope, there are some shortcuts I took early on that are now hindering me. I'd also like to improve my documentation, which will include a walkthrough I can post here. This isn't the kind of game where a walkthrough is needed for tough puzzles or anything, but some of the skill unlocks and things like that are a little hidden and I do want people to experience the full game.
Anyway, please enjoy! As always, let me know if you find any bugs or typos or anything weird.
Patch notes for 0.1.5
- Totally redesigned the time skip functionality
- Added an additional encounter if the dragon is defeated in town
- You now die a little slower when drowning
- Can now get Burn Salves from the Blacksmith and from Emmy (learn about burn salves from the blacksmith after fighting the fire)
- Can learn about Alchemy from Emmy. New Gathering skill, with enough grinding you can make your own burn salves.
- Can now fight unarmed and level up the Unarmed Combat skill to increase proficiency. Can’t use any of your fancy axe techniques without an axe though!
- Added commentary while training Mana Control at home so you know when it’s maxed out.
- All battles now increment time if and only if the battle takes more than 4 combat rounds
- Added a clock to the lumberyard
- Hey, maybe you should check in with Lewis at the lumberyard, see what he has to say?
- Expanded the Harris’s house
- Added the Fishing skill (more opportunities to train it in the future)
- More trees in the Menar Grove can now be chopped down.
- Various bugfixes and balancing, plus a lot of behind-the-scenes stuff that players will never notice but it makes my life easier
