Here we are. The jam is over, and Peuchère ended #4 in the overall category.
That's awesome! However, what's even better is the amount of constructive feedback we received during the rating period. We are so grateful! The Mini Jam community is lovely, and we'll be back for some more.
But as of right now, we feel like we had too much fun developing this game, and we do not want to just stop, toss away all these awesome comments you made, and start another project.
So, at least for a little while, Peuchère will continue to grow, improve and steal from those cupid dwarves.
For now, we are focusing on polishing what has already been done. In the next few days, we should release version 1.1, featuring nothing new, but many tweaks and little improvements.
To accomodate for the time constraint of the jam, some dubious design decisions had to be made. And now we need to fix that! Also, I (Yanek) wanted to try godot-rust but didn't have enough time to learn before the jam. I am now fully invested in the process of rewriting the game's core components in Rust. Mostly because I can.
After that, we will tackle the more interesting parts, like:
Well...
Until then, feel free to share our game and continue to send us feedback!
