#skills #rules change
I’ve been thinking about the rules for how skills work, and decided to make a tweak that’s big enough to bump up the version number. Opportunities and problems no longer have to be generated by every skill roll, or even every skill, and the hierarchy of results is removed. This allows more flexibility in how different skills work. I have also added an additional column to the random skill rules table to offer suggestions for how opportunities and problems can work, which also led to tweaks in the complications column.
Just rolling on the table, there are now 66 96 possible rules for skills, and that’s not adding in the different dice that might be used, or the extra combinations available if you pick multiple things from some categories! Hopefully this is more than any individual game of Find to Play Out will ever need.
