🐦 Devlog: The Making of Bird and Pipes – Not Your Average Flappy Clone

Hey everyone! 🙌
 solo indie dev behind BonneyGames, and this is the story behind my first mobile game:
Bird and Pipes 🕹️✨

🚀 The Idea

We’ve all seen Flappy Bird, right?
Endless pipes, brutal difficulty, and zero chill.

But I wanted to take that concept and crank it up.

What if the bird could shoot enemies mid-air?
What if there were achievements to chase?
What if it all led to a massive boss fight in the sky?

That’s how Bird and Pipes was born — not just a flappy clone, but a whole arcade experience built for mobile gamers who love chaos, action, and fast reaction times.

🔨 The Development

This game was made in Unity with love, trial-and-error, and way too many late-night bug hunts 😅. As a student and beginner indie dev, I built everything from scratch:

• Designed 15+ levels with rising difficulty

• Implemented a shooting system so your bird can blast enemy crows

• Created a BossLevel for the ultimate sky showdown

• Built a coin and score system

• Added a full achievement tracker with tons of unlockables

• Integrated Unity Ads (non-invasive, mostly rewarded)
