Build 7 Errata

Hi y'all! Time to discuss the Errata from Build 7.

As of now, the current version of the game is 0.7.3. If/when new versions of Build 7 become published, this devlog will update.

This devlog will be shorter than the last errata devlog. There's only a handful of things to discuss.

Unlocking Darrell's Route:

• In the past, the player needed to satisfy one of the three conditions to unlock Darrell's route. Now, Darrell's route is unlocked only by getting wings with him.
• To help you out, the choice is clearly marked "Unlock Darrell's Route".
• Ultimately, I want ChoPro to be more of a story than a game. I figured it's best to make it clear and easy for players to unlock the routes they're most excited for.
• This now means that the incident where Darrell eats the wings that are too spicy for him is always canon for his route.
• Just like before, Chester's route is default. It does not need to be unlocked.

Chapter Select Menu Added:

• This menu can be selected from the main menu or in the in-game pause menu.
• This allows you to jump ahead to any part of the story you'd like.
• When using the chapter selection menu, certain choices you can make in-game will automatically be made for you.
• This update has broken a lot of save files. I couldn't find any way to prevent or undo this issue. It's just something that happens with RenPy for some reason :(.

Streamer Mode Added:

• This allows the player to censor and skip pornographic moments in the story.

Plans for upcoming patches:

• In past devlogs, I mentioned wanting to get a nice cellphone graphic up and ready for Build 7. I had to delay this since the Chapter Select menu was more pressing. Thanks to Jason's help, we're getting closer to making this happen!
• You may hear a popping sound during Pat's first two lines of the new build. There was an issue with recording. I haven't been able to get those lines re-recorded yet. Working on it!
• I couldn't secure the funds to record some new lines for Dave and Hayley. I wanted their VA's to record a few lines for Episode 7. I'll have them record those lines and retroactively add them in the future.
• I'd like to go back and revisit some of my older sound design and add Martini's new somber song in places where it would fit.
