Ahmed Dev Blog - Week 2

Some Assembly Required
A downloadable game for Windows

Hello everyone, we’re back with our weekly development blog! Our game is finally starting to take shape, and we’re excited to show you guys what we’ve been working on!

In terms of art, our scene is set! As you can see here, we have finally implemented our final layout of the game. Assets & Designs created by our talented team of artists composed of Kaya, Daniel, Emma and Cherokee.

On the programming side, our puzzles are implemented were implemented as well. Handled by me, Ahmed, with the UI being created by Darnell. Working on the puzzle was a breeze thanks to the detailed documentation by Kaya which allowed me to lay out how the puzzles worked mechanically.

  • Puzzle One (Player must fix and stitch the wires together (model will be replaced!) (Unity project bug makes the mouse position wonky))
  • Puzzle Two (Scattered crane parts, player must find them and put it back together again)

-Puzzle Three (Assembly code password to crack)

Now thanks to Cherokee, we also have our first bit of dialogue completed, with all of it already scripted and inside unity, what’s left is to actually add it to our game!

Our week was very fulfilling; I am excited to show what’s more to come to our game in the future, so please stay tuned!
