Stretch goals

Martian Havoc
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux

I may have stated that I will not be doing any more significant / complicated updates in this devlog as I desperately want to focus on improving on other things instead of beating a dead horse for over a decade, but as stated there as well, it could all change when this game sees any success... So here are some stretch goals that could get me to work on the game again...

100 downloads, at least 25 unique scores reaching 100k in casual difficulty

I will add the itch.io optional monetization for my game just to see if anyone is willing to go the extra mile... if we actually break this barrier which I am not expecting to... thank you all so much from the bottom of my heart!

250 downloads, at least 50 unique scores reaching 100k in casual difficulty, $10 raised

I will fix and improve a lot of the terrible game code that makes me want to throw up over updating the game.

500 downloads, at least 50 unique scores in casual reaching 250k, $20 raised

I will add more achievements and finish making a stats screen.

1000 downloads, at least 100 unique scores in casual reaching 250k, $50 raised

I will be making this game my main focus again, eventually pushing major updates again starting with the long awaited endless mode and enemy bestiary and others stated in this devlog. Separating story mode & arcade mode, etc, more enemies, etc...

Progress so far: 11 downloads

FAQ

Q: All of these stretch goals could easily happen if you market / advertise the game, why not consider that?

A: I did and I will for a video or two in my youtube channel, but that's all I'm willing to do as I am not expecting or honestly wanting that to happen because I consider this a complete project and it's all I've been doing for over a decade now. I honestly want to move on make use of my creativity and time with better and more worthwhile things... The only way this could be worthwhile is if it suddenly gains support and smashes the stretch goals but I'm not really counting on it.
