unsubstantial update 0.95 released...?
finally after 2 months, an update... well not fully
this is part 1 of 0.95. 0.95 will be the last update before adding more chapters and content. after part 2 i will be taking a small break from gamedev to focus on designing the stages, enemies and bosses for 0.96. but for now, the game is getting big updates.
changelog:
- added a new flying eye enemy (spawns after collecting the key)
- added props to the palace, revamped the starting room and stage generation in general
- added 3 new items: Decimation, P-NUT and Energy Drink. find them in game to see what they do! ;)
- added performance mode for all the chads with bad hardware (disables bloom and limits render distance)
- added options for: toggling vsync, disabling the dithering post-process and an exposure slider (brightness amount, basically)
- a lot of rebalancing changes
- the player hp doesnt decay to half when running anymore
- looping now makes the game way harder
- revamped score calculations (so all your save files had reset!)
- bullet in front of player now properly animates
- changed the bullet trail to a more basic one
- added bhoping (now jumping makes you faster instead of slow)
- piercing bullets now properly work (sometimes. look out for a patch)
- options saving now works again
- each stage has a random brick color
- many more changes that i wont list
