Lucky Cat Collector - Patch Notes Version 1.0.1
BUG FIXES
-
Fixed a bug where upgrades that can be purchased multiple times could become available for purchase again after they already reached their count limit.
- The game saves every time you buy an upgrade, and so it’s possible that loading an affected save will crash the game. I added some checks that should prevent this kind of thing from happening in the future, as well as an attempt to load and fix these save files. If it doesn’t work for you and you’re hitting a crash on startup, please let me know either here or on BlueSky and I’ll try to help.
-
Fixed a bug where you could still attempt to buy new cat parts after all have already been unlocked. Now it shows a message informing you that everything is unlocked and pressing that button won’t do anything.
- In the future, I might add an option to sell joy for fortunes in this scenario, similar to how you can buy joy directly. I’m a little torn on this whole currency exchange thing so I might get rid of it altogether, but we’ll see.
-
Fixed save/load for settings
-

-
Fixed Absolute Cinema achievement unlocking too early
-

-
Fixed a bug where the bug wasn’t working right
Other changes
- Increased base price for new part unlocks from 3 to 5 joy
- Improved randomness for new part unlocks, giving each part category different chance for random pulls
- Before, all categories would have the same chance to be pick. The problem with that is that some categories like faces and eyes are definitely more exciting and there are way more of these, compared to others. However, you could just get unlucky and keep unlocking bells and collars. This should happen less now and unlocks should feel more varied and spread out across categories.
- Increased price and price scaling for For-Two-Nator upgrade
- Made following changes to Power Nap Module upgrade:
- Increased fortune bonus from 1 to 3
- Increased price from 250 to 1250
- Made god rays from Light Tubes more visible
- Fixed assets of some body parts to work better overall, visually
- Reworked unlock conditions for window-related achievements. They weren’t supposed to be difficult to get and I realized that after purchasing some upgrades, you could make it considerably more difficult or close to impossible. These new conditions fix that problem.
- Locked achievements will now appear darker, making it easier to parse
- Fade in/out transition between the room and the window is now considerably shorter
Shout out to my friends Colin and Matt for feedback and for reporting some of these issues, and thanks to everyone who played the game!
