#major
Hey-o! It's been a while...
It's been about 4 months since the release of Spirits of Hell, where 3.5 months the game was removed from Itchio and not available to anyone.
After the release a lot of people didn't really appreciate the game for many reasons, and the main complaints were about the poor graphics and how hideous it was made.
And so, these 4 months I have been working hard on the game to release the first major update to the game, which I proudly called...
...or simply update 2.0.0. This update fixed a lot of bugs and added a few new features designed to improve the overall impression (especially the first one) of the game. Let's start again, as if the previous version never existed, shall we?
Oh well, here's a list of all the changes to the game:
This is the most important part of the update and the main reason why this update exists at all.
The big problem with the old graphics were the mixels. Individually, all the sprites in the game looked pretty good, but when they were all arranged in locations with completely different sizes, it didn't look good.
A lot of sprites were redrawn and refined, which made the graphical component of the game more presentable and pleasant.
NOTE: All screenshots above are taken with the lighting effect turned off
Enemies no longer chase you as soon as they see you. Now they need time before they start chasing you.
When directly visible by enemies, a red arrow will appear around Lili. When the arrow is fully visible, only then the possessed will chase you.
Hints will now appear during the game that briefly explain the mechanics of the game. No more misunderstandings.
These hints do not distract from the gameplay and can be turned off in the game settings.
Now Lili goes up and down the stairs smoothly and quickly without the odd teleportation.
Now there's nothing to stop you from exploring the mansion's locations and reading their descriptions - enemies will stand still while the monologue is going on.
The game has also received a lot of minor changes/fixes:
And many more...
