New Sprytewood Update !
Bag building: you can now switch out Sharbles in the Sprytebag:
Future Updates - Planned features:
The next updates focus on usability and longevity. I planned a system to store your Sprytes and release them into the wild. There is also going to be some interaction between Sprytes on the farm and your crops and the item values.
Another focus is a new tutorial/onboarding as the current one is to text-heavy and doesn't mention the new mechanics.
There's a need for new Sharbles you can choose after striking in combat. There are currently 4 different ones, which is way too repetitive. And then I can make sure that every presented Sharble is unique.
Additional thoughts:
I really love developing this game and I want it to become better and succeed! A steam page is planned, but I have to sort some legal stuff. I'm thinking of ways to make my life and the development of Sprytewood more secure, maybe an EA release might be a good fit. I know a lot of people don't like buying games in EA, but the idea is to buy a unfinished product while supporting the developer. Current full releases in the cozy games sphere where astonishingly bad and full of bugs, while there's a certain EA title that makes everything right. But I have not decided what to do yet. It's also very early and if EA is on the table I want to have all core mechanics finished and bug-free to focus on adding content.
However, marketing is always a struggle for indie games and if you like the project it would really help me if you could recommend it to people you think would also enjoy it.
A big THANK YOU to the numerous Playtesters that really help me making this game better! I hope you have fun and like the direction of the development.
