Hey! I'm Faruk, and this is the first devlog for Balandscape, my experimental city builder that’s all about balance — literally.
The core idea came from a game jam prototype, where I asked:
“What if building a city was more like stacking Jenga blocks… but with cards?”
Since then, I’ve been rebuilding the project from scratch, cleaning up the messy jam code and adding more structure, strategy, and chaos (the good kind).
Currently, I'm focusing on:
Making the card system feel meaningful and not random
Balancing building weights and how they affect stability
Polishing visuals and feedback when things fall apart (which they do, often)
The game is still early, and a lot is unfinished — but it’s already been fun watching players try to "outsmart gravity."
If you have any ideas, weird suggestions, or just want to say hi, drop a comment below!
