After weeks of worldbuilding, eventing, and tweaking until my eyes went numb, the playable demo of Resonance: Eclipse of Memory is now complete.
This is a story-rich, memory-driven RPG made entirely in RPG Maker MZ, with:
💀 Turn-based combat
🌲 Exploration across surreal dreamlike zones (kinda)
🧠 A focus on emotion, consequences, and grief
Playable in this demo:
The Memory Nexus (hub), with portals, tutorial, save system, and item/gear orbs
Full exploration of Grief Hollow, including:
Lost Forest puzzle navigation
Abandoned Town (teaser only)
Ancient Ruins (with lore, locked areas, and bosses)
4 unique enemy types + 1 mini-boss (Skeleton Dragon)
Final boss battle against the Griefbound Treant
Story events, orb lore, and worldbuilding seeds
This build is split into:
🪟 Windows version (.zip)
🍎 MacOS version (.zip)
🌐 Web build (playable in browser)
Note: Some areas are blocked in the demo and will be available in future versions. You may see references to things that don’t exist... yet. 👀
Special thanks to my test players and those who offered feedback and emotional support (and caffeine).
What's next?
Expanding world zones like Rage Fields, Silence Depths, and Whispershade
Optional side quests tied to memory fragments
Custom memory-based battle systems and exploration changes
Secrets and multiple endings
If you have feedback, bugs, or just cool ideas, send them in!
And thanks for joining me on this weird, memory-filled journey 💀🧠
Love, Ethyrya~
P.S: I forgot to set ONE event to Autorun before deployment so every just got the "Lost in Void" achievement for that. It's been patched now. (sorry!)
P.P.S: Fixed an issue with the Grief Hallow option not teleporting player.
