Hello again! So you see the title and know that the problem persisted. Thankfully, I am in contact with friends who are much more knowledgeable about RPGmaker than I am, and so they have helped brainstorm other fixes. They are sure option one from last post is the thing that I'm struggling with, so hopefully this will be eventually resolved.
For this update, I have tweaked the problem events to remove themselves from the map if they are not in use, so they are not running checks indefinitely while you are on the map. If this doesn't stop the problem, I will continue to make tweaks and make similar updates.
