Greetings ENF enthusiasts. I have some sad news.
Resident Cheesel 3D will be put on an indefinite Hiatus and development on this project will be halted.
Why is this happening?
Resident Cheesel Moushley (the prequel) took 1 month to complete. Resident Cheesel 3D took 6 months to complete PART 1. The sales from Moushley outstripped 3D in the same period of time by a significant amount. Therefore I'm unable to pursue working on the game because it's just not financially viable for me.
Does this mean we'll never get to see the rest of the game?
I think that we will eventually get to see the contents of this game, but it won't be under the Moushley IP. It will likely be done in a remake with wholly unique characters and using a much cleaner dialogue style closer to a visual novel but using 3d models. I don't see myself working on this idea for at least a few years while I build up some money to risk something like that again.
Can you tell us what caused it to take so long to make?
The hardest part of development was the multiple camera angles and syncing up character dialogue and remembering all 50something of the poses Moushley had. There were lots of moving parts and data entries I had to keep track of that, while a great learning experience, led to the game taking way too long to produce. 3D development is hard for a solo dev like myself, especially since I also program the game.
Well what comes next then?
I have been hard at work on two things. The first is a visual novel I just released that is the conclusion to one of my previous works titled [Catalyst - Act 3] it is free, and can be enjoyed without having read the series. The second is a new game titled "Fur Party" about having sex with furries at a house party.
Many, many of you have requested my games with enf content have more sexual content and penetration in them, and this one will definitely have that. It'll also be back to my 2D style. Here's a teaser!
I currently have 10 characters designed and planned for this game as romancable. More could be added on or alternate versions or settings could be done in the future depending on how this one goes. My current plan is to release this game in chunks of 4/3/3 characters after I finish getting all of the preliminary writing down. There are a lot of images to draw and refine for it, but if I have the writing done, that just means I can take a few weeks to grind out drawings and have the project completed much faster.
What about that concept art and 3d models you promised us for Moushley, huh?
That will be added to the Itch.io page momentarily if it is not already up by the time you read this. Your patronage has been appreciated and I'm very happy that those of you who played RC:3D enjoyed it, even if it is now on Haitus.
