I modified the game Nightclub Showdown by Deepnight Games into a roguelike version, and I am presenting it here with permission from the creator. Here is a list of the changes from the original game:
Summary
- The game is now endless and randomly generated
- New upgrades and rewards system
- New dash, kick and throw grenade mechanics

New features
- Game is now endless and randomly generated
- New upgrade system with 15 unique upgrades, 3 unique rewards and 1 special challenge upgrade
- New dash mechanic
- Grabbing and head shots are now unlockable upgrades
- You now start with only four bullets
- Kicking mechanic
- Player-usable grenades
- New metal crates
Changes
- #7 Heavy enemy attacks are now always uninterruptable
- #4 Allow interrupting enemy attacks by moving past them
- #6 Make grenade throwing more accurate
Graphics
- Change many button locations
- Add crate life bar
- Remove action help text
- Add action previews
- Move HUD to the top of the screen
- Add arrow that shows where to go next
- Add grenade throwing animation
- Change opening subtitle
QoL improvements
- Allow turning while grabbing an enemy
- Allow reloading and waiting while grabbing an enemy
- Add a slow-mo moment after killing the last enemy
- Hero is now always in frame
- Allow interrupting walking
- Support for touch controls
- Add time to reposition yourself between waves
- Enable slow motion while there is a grenade
Bug fixes
- Full screen not toggling properly
- Can go too far to the right on the first level
- Hero is not affected by slow motion
- Falling crates destroy crates that are far from them
- #9 Enemies remain covered after being grabbed
