Kernel Update! Upgrades Rework and a Novel!

Hello Kernel players! Thank you for following along with the development of this game for well over a year!

While I'm very pleased where the game is mechanically some more recent playtests finally gave me a good opportunity to retool the Upgrades. In the new version you'll find...

• Many upgrades have been made simpler, giving them more overall power in more situations.
• Some upgrades have been moved around to make other Companies more desirable. Mechanics like stealth and detection have been moved over to Periwinkle to improve the Company's identity and desirability. 
• Some upgrades have been moved around to get the intended combos of certain companies into play sooner (for example Drench Tank is now tier 2, allowing Periwinkle loyalists to combo off their water upgrades earlier in the game. Elastic Coating and Bio-Mending have been combined and is now available earlier in the Acorn tree).
• Many upgrades that didn't see play were removed to reduce clutter, in some cases the functionality was rolled into other upgrades where it made sense (Anchor now has the Toil bonus that Submersible Limbs gave).
• Topaz's late game Upgrades are now a little lighter, meaning Rigs other than Crapauds should be able to experiment with their Mineral based gameplay loop.
• Secondary Hull now gives.... +1 Hull.

There's also one little thing for the rules! It's small but was something for the patience fans out there, if you don't want to perform an Action on your turn you can now Brace your rig to gain +2 Block until your next action.

If you're interested in the setting of Kernel I've used it as inspiration in my new novel series "Tales of the Insect Engine" which now has its second installment! (given I think of this more as the first installment and the other book as the prequel but... w/e)

Exoskeleton has received a ton of praise from test readers and is a very exciting, dark, and hard to predict pulp sci-fi adventure! It has robots, bugs, and toxic women and it's honestly probably way to good to be given away for free. NEVERTHELESS, IT IS FREE! And it will be free forever!
