While working on the next release of Sucker Punch (chapter 1), I found a few bugs in the released version of the prologue. This release fixes them, adds a few speaking labels that were missed and adds a new character stat that will be used in the next minigame added.
Unfortunately, the stat adjustment possibly nukes any prior save games; but will be required for Chapter 1; so unless I figure out a better way to address the problem - sorry!
I did get a chance to test the VN/game on android and it works properly. I was concerned the game aspect wouldn't play well, but was perfect in my test. LMK if you see anything different.
I am currently working on writing the script... it's taking longer than I originally expected because... well the entire scope of this VN is so much bigger than my previous work. It's actually quite challenging to address the multiple (concurrent) storylines I'm working on - especially since one of the characters herself has a split personality.
I got a small taste of this in the prologue with needing to write multiple paths that arrive near the same place for the character. Things just get harder the more I develop that storyline... but it's an interesting challenge so I'm not looking to shortcut it.
I did (do) have some doubts about introducing additional conflicting storylines (LI's), since this isn't a harem story from the MC's POV. But I have the characters drafted and I'm not planning on abandoning them. For a while I thought maybe I'd treat Sucker Punch as a universe VN series - where each VN would take 1 storyline through to completion, and while as an author that's a bit more rewarding... as a game it narrows down the players choices/feeling of being in control of the MC. So, no; I'll do my best to entwine the various characters story threads within a single Sucker Punch VN.
It just means the audience will have the opportunity to miss parts of the story since the threads are mutually exclusive. Replay-ability... or annoyance? Hopefully the former.
Regardless, I'm continuing the work. No ETA on the next release yet... I'll let you know when I have a better idea.
As always, thanks for reading, downloading and playing,
