Identity: Version 0.3.13c – Public Release and Catchup on Version 0.3.12

Salutations to everyone!

It seems that we forgot to post a devlog for Version 0.3.12 (even though we did post the builds here), so we will catch you up briefly on what happened with the game since 0.3.11.

Version 0.3.12

This was our Halloween release and we experimented a lot with darker content, and generally it was favourably received by our audience. This is what the world building lead up to, and... will set up more conflict in the future.

There is a war that happened, so you get to explore the pieces that have been left behind. In this update, it's in the form of several "Red Dreams" that can be witnessed from Day 5 onwards. In addition, there is now a generic dream section which serves as a "night time dating slot", where you can also experience some other, non-violent dreams.

We also added the third date for Brym (which also contains sex, as you can see in the thumbnail).

Version 0.3.13c

This was the update where we changed a lot of underlying functionality, which also broke a lot of things, hence version 0.3.13c. We released 3 hotfixes and we number those with letters.

For a granular description of all the changes, you can look at the changelog below. To make it short: the tracking of character progress is now agnostic of the version. If a character doesn't exist yet who you are then starting to date in a future version, the progress will get tracked correctly.

Unfortunately, this also broke all existing save files, which will not work with versions from now on. In order to compensate for lost progress, we are planning to add a cheat menu, so you can recuperate any lost time, but that also isn't ready just yet.

Content-wise, this update sets up the story for the future, and we reworked Days 5, 7 and all of Kovle's dates. He should be a bit more amicable now towards you, whereas the documents on Day can now be skipped entirely. They have all been rewritten and connect to the "Red Dreams" that were introduced in the prior version.

This version also added a lot of art and sound design, for the dates but also the generic dreams that have been added.

  • Equally massive addition of a lot of functionality to track progression and sex with any character, including the possibility to add more (not-yet existing) variables on run-time. This means that save files from now on are much better compatible with future game versions.
  • Version Number is now tracked in the save file.

• Halloween content: A set of dreams have been added starting from day 5 onwards. This content also contains a lot of new backgrounds and CGs.
