I've managed to crunch this game down from A5 to A6 post card size, so it really is very tiny now. I've also increased the damage from traps and tweaked the components cost of some upgrades. In particular I've reduced the component cost of the subspace jammer to make it easier to reset the Alert if it gets too high too early in the game.
Despite a lot of play testing I still haven't managed to win a game, so its a bit like those 80s console games in that respect but is it too difficult?
