You can select UV faces by clicking the "Face center point" displayed on the 3D model. (Multiple selections possible)

Selected UV points 

You can select a UV point by selecting a UV face and clicking the "Corner of the face" displayed in the texture view. (Multiple selections are possible)

The points on the selected UV face are displayed in the texture view and model view.

Drag the selected UV point to adjust the texture to be pasted on the face.
