After working towards a full release of Abysm since the end of the Bevy Spooky Jam last fall, today marks the release of the first episode, The Pale Queen, as a free download for Windows!
Compared to the jam version it has more gameplay with new hazards and monsters, simple story telling, more and improved graphics, as well as improved music and sounds. It also has a lot of the necessary quality of life improvements, such as key bindings, support for various screen sizes, separate settings for sound effect and music volume, and so on, that separates a jam entry from a proper game.
Episode one of Abysm, The Pale Queen, is free and has 18 levels of puzzle goodness, and an estimated 1-2 hours of game play, go download now! For the full version another three episodes are planned, and a full release is planned in late 2025.
