This will probably be a short update. So my family and I took a trip to NYC and rode the train. It was not a short ride, so I took my laptop (and steam deck, but I digress...) in hopes of working a bit. The train takes FOR-EV-ER from where I live. Like 8+ hours forever. Obviously this was not a daytrip.
Anyhow, the point of this post is that I used some of the time out and some of the time home to finally nail down a boss battle and have some text before the battle as well as some scripted events after. Using the power of variable manipulation during run time, I ran through some of the latest build to illustrate this. It can be seen here. I still need to do more in the office building "dungeon" itself, but now the guardrails are 100% in place. I "just" need to add some puzzles and enemies. I also need to probably make some animations and custom moves for the boss as well; however, I figure all of that can come later. I'm trying to build some independent world pieces and dungeons so that I can interconnect it all. At that point I can focus on enemy diversity, movesets, and, probably my biggest challenge, music and sound effects. I have no idea how I'll get that done, but I'll deal with it when the time comes.
