I'm going to be slowly working through an extensive re-write of Thank You For Your Service. I say slowly because this game is draining to even read for me.
This game is both speaking about the broader topic of veterans and very specifically how I and other veterans feel about the state of the USA in this forever war style shit with layers of bullshit interfering with benefits. And it is also a response to a lot of the other #sadmechjam games because as far as I could tell none of them were speaking to that aspect. It's nice to see different folks working through and speaking to their experiences with embodiment and the like through the lens of mecha, which is also why this game is structured in the way it is for character gen.
I don't know where I am going to go with this project, but I guess we'll find out together.
