Devlog #1 – Quality of Life & Visual Feedback Update

Flesh Reaver
A downloadable game for Windows

Hey everyone!

Just a quick update on Flesh Reaver’s development. I've been working on small changes that I believe go a long way in improving how the game feels.

First, I’ve added damage numbers to the game. Now, when you damage enemies, you’ll see floating indicators showing how much damage you dealt. It’s a small detail, but it adds a satisfying layer of feedback that helps combat feel more responsive and rewarding.

That said, I know not everyone prefers that kind of visual clutter. So I’ve also added submenus to the Options tab, allowing you to toggle damage numbers off if you’d rather keep your screen clean. I’m aiming to give players more control over their experience, and this is a step in that direction. Sub menus are not perfect as of now but I will be working on them more.

Second, I’ve implemented a Quick Start option from the spawn room. Just equip a weapon in the spawn room and hold the 'E' button. It should save time and keep things flowing better, especially during replays.

These tweaks are part of my ongoing effort to make the game more enjoyable and polished with every update. As always, I appreciate any feedback, and I'm grateful for everyone who's taken the time to play the game or follow its development.

Thanks for reading.
