🐀 Launch Day: Sly Rats Have Arrived!
They're fast. They're sneaky. And they’ve just raided your pantry.
Introducing the newest addition to my cozy critter collection: the Rat Asset Pack — now available on itch.io!
Whether you're stocking up on enemies for your dungeon, adding ambiance to a cluttered cellar, or giving your players a mischievous companion, these little rodents are ready to gnaw their way into your game.
This pack is packed with 8 color variants, including:
Classic black and gray
Albino and red-eyed variants
A sewer mutant with purple-green patches
And more!
Each rat comes with 6 animations, including:
Walking
Running
Biting
Being carried (yep!)
Damaged/hit reaction
Sleeping (because even rats need naps)
A free version is also available with one gray rat and a full 4-direction walk cycle — perfect for testing them out in your project!
I’ve been building out a rustic, slightly chaotic world of critters — snakes, raccoons, and now rats. This pack brings a little more grit, mischief, and motion to the mix. I had a blast making the new banner (a cellar full of cheese, spilled grain, and rat chaos), and the animated sprites turned out super expressive.
These rats were made to fit naturally into farming sims, RPGs, survival games, and any game world that isn’t afraid of a little squeak and scurry.
Need inspiration? Here are a few ways to use them:
Dungeon or sewer enemies with status effect bites
Background critters that react when players get close
Carryable rodents for quests, minigames, or pets
Stealth missions featuring sneaky cheese heists
Thanks again for all the support as this little pixel ecosystem grows. Snakes and raccoons were just the start — now the rats are here, and I’m already scheming what's next. 🐸🦇👀
Grab the Rat Asset Pack today and give your game some squeaky soul!
