Hi guys, Steve here!
In my last blogpost I talked about what happened that made the restart of Blue Flame possible, now I'd like to share with you the rough sketches of the plan with you.
The following is the basic outline of the whole Blue Flame project:
Of course this is much more complicated than these five simple steps, so let's focus on the first step, creating a vertical slice.
But what is a vertical slice? A vertical slice is essentially a part of the game (a slice) that's 99% completed with everything, looks, sounds, UI design and everything else. It's an important part of the development, since this slice can be shown to publishers (or crowdfunders) saying that this is the kind of game we want to create only sightly bigger.
Now this begs the question: How will Blue Flame's vertical slice will look like?
And the answer is essentially this:
What you're seeing here is what I'm planning to create until the end of September. Then It's reaching out time. I'll reach out to as many publishers/studios as possible and we'll see how it will go from there.
As for everyone here on itch.io, I'll try my best to upload a new version of the game every week, so that I can get feedback from all of you, so until next time,
Cheers!
