Ray of courage beta 0.9 version update list
the game is now in beta 0.9, and it's getting closer to release, but that's still quite a ways away, so here's a list of what's already been added and what's going to be added very soon ( please note that this post is only a list of what to expect from beta 0.9, the actual version is not quite done yet )
features already added
- player health
- saving and loading progress
- boss fights
- final boss
- level counting system
- new music ( old unfit music has been replaced with something new that fits better )
- playable mark 1 british tank, but only after beating the final boss
- mission briefing screen between levels ( it's more of just a loading screen rn )
- new shield enemy added ( this one's actually been in the game since beta 0.1 but didn't spawn due to complicated bugs )
- new game over screen ( this also adds random player names and random birth years around 1880-1900 )
- game is officially set around the battle of somme ( the whole campaign takes place during the battle )
- idk, maybe other stuff i forgot about
features planned on being added
- wave/survival mode
- gravestone ( meant to show all soldiers that have died )
- smarter enemies
- no more possibility's of unbeatable levels due to procedural generation blocking off either the start or end of the level
features still being debated
- local and/or online multiplayer
- perma-death
- multiple save files
