Hotfix1.0.0.3 in progress! I reengineered the roughness system and algorithms.
Now I have 3 algorithms to choose from to calculate roughness.
Sobel - useful for stylized textures
Variance - Default for most textures
Greyscale - Perfect for other use cases like this manhole cover. App is producing some amazing results now. Tons more improvements are on the list and underway.
