This means you'll start the game with a mutation shape pool of only 6 shapes BUT as you progress you'll tick off achievements which will add new shapes to the pool for you to pick from.
There's a cute little pop up which shows you the block art for the shape, the shape name, and how you unlocked it.
Also the Block and Shape will show up in the Gallery for you to check out (even telling you the Blocks name and crediting the creator of the block's artwork!)
This one isn't as exciting but deserves to be shown off too!
TetRogue now is fully scalable for different resolutions!
This means the game will look good on your Ultra-Wide, your 1080p, even your Steam Deck's oddball resolution (one step closer to my dream of playing TetRogue on my R36S!)
I'm no game developer by nature, I didn't study it in way official capacity, and until a year ago I didn't even have a real game to my name. Because of that I'm probably using terms wrong but this is how the release plan goes for me:
Alpha
Adding major features and overhauling systems with each update
Beta
Polishing up the features and systems and adding new content
1.0
The Minimal Viable Product, all planned features, a suitable amount of content, and all art/sound finished.
Beyond
Continue to add content in the form of shapes, new modes, fix bugs when found by the player base, and keep the game feeling fresh for returning players.
Another Update Coming Soon!
This update was to show after a good few days of nothing that content is being worked on, just it took a while and most of it was boring behind the scenes code stuff.
For that reason I'll be posting a separate update in the near future outlining the plans for TetRogue as things have changed in development, so keep an eye out for that!
