Update 0.20 introduces significant additions to both content and core systems, continuing to flesh out the world of Windermere with new cases, gameplay mechanics, and polish across key features.
The two cases added completes the roster of cases that can appear from Day 2.
Six new GameOver outcomes have been implemented with complete visuals and revised text. These replace prior placeholder content. Other placeholders remain and will be addressed in future updates.
Many new items have been added, with their own passive and in some cases active effect. As with previous usable items, all characters react to items used with unique dialogue and reputation effects.
The Warnings that the different factions can issue, now have dedicated popups with descriptive text and persistent passive effects. These Warnings reflect ongoing tension with specific groups and will influence gameplay and player decision-making.
A new system for Curses and Blessings has been implemented. These modifiers include a distinct visual effect and passive reputational effects.
There is a lot of content to come and the pace of updates should only increase as many of the upcoming cases have reoccurring characters, which obviously reduces the amount that I have to draw. :)
