Hello! Today I'm going to show you the design of Indiemaker's protagonist: Leo the Treasure Hunter. When I began designing the visuals of Leo, I first thought of a classic American hero, Indiana Jones. But I didn't want Leo to be as tough and threatening as Indiana Jones. I wanted him to be clumsy and inexperienced (not to control but in the visual department). So I created the first design:
It was awful. I wanted to vomit. When writing this post I now realized that it's worse than I remembered. Well I wanted him to look good, so I threw that away and drew something new:
This one was still bad, just not as Horrible as before. I made another design.
I was starting to like this one and I used it for a while, but eventually decided to change it. So I made this:
This is the current design. I think it turned out well, but there is still room to grow, you never know what the future holds. Thank you for reading.

PS: Leo's name comes from Spainish explorer Ponce De Leon
