Over the past 2–3 months, I’ve focused on reworking major parts of the game. From visual polish to gameplay flow, everything’s been improved to feel more refined, responsive, and fun to play. Hope you all will like it!
Tore most of the UI apart and rebuilt it completely with a comic book vibe — and honestly, it looks way better than the old prototype. Alongside that, I scrapped the old transitions and added a brand new halftone effect. Personally, I find it super satisfying, with a bunch of random variations to keep things feeling dynamic and fresh.
Got this idea from a playtester who suggested that each element levels up and unlocks combos as you go. Which would result in an easier way to learn the different combos overtime to not feel overwhelmed. And in my opinion it also gives you get a nice sense of progression too.
I finally added something I’ve been wanting for a while — the ability to play using all 4 elements at the same time!
It was challenging due to different element combo patterns overlaping.. But I’m happy to say it’s working now! That said, I’m still open to smarter solutions — so if you’ve got any ideas, I’d love to hear them
Completly made a new end match screen which now has different stages like:
Made it way shorter, simpler, and tried to use reverse psychology in it we will see if that will work.
Smart camera auto-look: Gave to much motionsickness and uncontrollable
Auto-trigger combos on holding:
It felt slower and more finicky to use so removed it again but still messing with smoother controls, especially now that the combo system's getting deeper.
Removed the hit vignette (caused lag due to opacity overdraw)
Merged health/stamina/score UI into one cleaner bar
Made a new win/loss round screen
Cleaned up options that didn’t really help
I’m constantly tweaking and polishing — so if something feels weird or missing, let me know!
And in general any feedback negative or good would be a huge help!
