Devlog #24 - Custom Engine Tech Demo r5
Alright guys, the latest snapshot is available from https://synthnostate.itch.io/sanguinity-demo#download as a 61-meg ZIP file. Not too bad at all!

Change Log
- Scripting system basically complete
- Character/Inventory screen much improved: wield weapons, wear/remove clothing, pickup/drop items, change hair
- Hotbar [1-9] - assignable in Inventory UI
- Context menu [RMB] in various UIs
- NPCs aggro when hit
- Player death and Game Over menu
- Title screen artwork and minimal 3D scene for fast loading
- Arena Mode for quick tests & combat/feeding practice
- Turnbased Mode restored and slightly less incomplete
- Blood graphics (basic placeholder)
- Status effects: speed, bleeding, knockout
- Settings overhaul
- Key mapping
- Vampire Lore simulation settings
- Sunburn (optional)
- Blood regeneration during/after feeding (optional)
- Save/load objects in world and inventories
- Various other graphical fixes & improvements
- Male playable character (bare-bones last minute addition)
With that, core gameplay systems are essentially complete. Next, I’ll turn my attention to content (characters, quests, dialogue, art/models, etc) while still developing the engine and game mechanics at a slower pace.
