From Concept to Chaos โ A Journey of Survival and Style
Hey everyone! ๐
I'm Diyogan, the solo dev behind StarByte Games, and today Iโm beyond excited to share the full scope of progress on my passion project: Polygonic Tempest โ a chaotic, adrenaline-pumping, endless survival bullet hell game where dodging is everything and defeat is never the end... only a new beginning.
At its core, Polygonic Tempest is a top-down roguelike bullet hell game where you can't shoot.
You only dodge.
Survival is your weapon.

Smart enemy spawning and bullet density logic
Game is fully playable with a solid dodge mechanic
Purple distortion + low-pass audio when activating Reaperโs Silence
Clean pixel-art aesthetic with tight 8x8 design rules
In-game chaos feels visceral and stylish
No bosses, no attacks from the player — pure dodge-or-die gameplay
Roguelike elements add fresh variety to every run
Boosts and upgrades offer meaningful choices
From โBullet Dodgerโ to โSilent Reaper,โ Iโve designed achievements for:
Survival milestones
High skill plays
No-upgrade challenges
Reaper ability mastery
Secrets and unlocks
Still using GDevelop due to hardware limits, but pushing it hard!

This game isn't just about action — it's about pushing limits, both yours and mine. Every wave, every dodge, every upgrade is meant to challenge the player in the most intense, stylish, and skillful way possible.
I believe in fun through pressure — and Polygonic Tempest is my love letter to that philosophy.
