Zynga Reflection
This week, we presented our game at the Final Demo at Zynga.
In the past week, we made the following changes:
- Added the new cinematics/cutscenes for before the game and after suspect accusing
- Fleshed out the tutorial; now our mayor requires the player to have enough opinion in order to proceed to let the player get a grasp of the talking mechanics
- Added visible effects to items that can be picked up
At Zynga, we learned:
- Files and filepaths within the local Unity environment do not transition to builds properly, which we have fixed
- Our current build (or build settings) offer poor performance as compared to within the Unity Editor; our goal is to optimize for faster LLM responses by next week.
- We would benefit from differentiating an "easy" mode (for showcasing features) and a "hard" mode (for a standard experience) to better showcase our game.
