Core gameplay changes

Gladius Terrae

Since the game was originally planned to be something quite different, some of its core mechanics no longer fit as well as they should. This update includes a few small changes aimed at addressing those issues.

Changelog:

  • Enemies now briefly stun units on hit. This prevents units from pushing through hordes of enemies without resistance.

  • Gorgon rework - The larger enemy (we call it Gorgon by the way) no longer attacks directly. Instead, when close to a player's unit, it stops, spawns minions, and increases the speed of passing enemies.

  • Speed boost mechanic - The speed buff granted by Gorgons is small but permanent and stackable. A group of Gorgons can make enemies move real fast real quick.

In addition to these changes, there are several minor quality-of-life improvements and balance adjustments to better align with the evolving core design. As a result, the game is now a bit more challenging.
