Big things are happening behind the scenes! Over the past few weeks, we’ve knocked out a huge list of features that form the backbone of gameplay—from recruitment to gear to vendors. Here’s everything we’ve accomplished:
The Barracks now generates six unique units every time you visit. Each recruit includes:
A randomized portrait
Bloodline traits
Starting gear: weapon, armor, and a potion
You can inspect every unit in detail before deciding who joins your roster.
We’ve rebuilt the inventory system for clarity and ease of use:
🔁 Click-to-transfer: Move items between a unit’s gear slots and shared storage with a single click.
🧍 Unit Panel: View each unit’s equipped weapon, armor, and one potion.
🖱️ Hover tooltips: Instantly view stats and bonuses on any item.
🧠 Auto-Arrange: Storage now sorts items from strongest to weakest based on total stat value—no more clutter.
⚠️ Note: There’s no unit-to-unit trading. Gear is managed through the shared stash.
Weapons and armor now come with powerful randomized modifiers like:
➕ +1 Action Point
🎯 +10% Crit Chance
🛡️ Resistance boosts
🔥 Elemental effects and more!
All bonuses are clearly shown in the UI—every piece of gear counts.
We’ve added a full set of predefined potion types, including:
🍃 Healing
💪 Buffs
🔰 Resistances
💥 Offensive effects
Potions are created using ScriptableObjects and come with consistent icons and defined potencies for easy recognition.
Our brand-new vendor system is up and running:
🛍️ Buy randomized gear and potions
💰 Sell your unwanted items
🧪 Vendors draw from the full potion list
💎 Global GoldManager tracks your currency across all systems
With these systems in place, we’re shifting our focus to:
🎁 Battle rewards and loot drops
🧭 Narrative and cutscene integration
🛠️ Final polish on the UI and game flow
